FPS Single-player

First-person shooters (also known as FPS) are a subgenre of action video games, focused on player's speed, reaction time, and precision. The genre’s core element is avatar holding a long-range weapon and a common resource found in most FPS games is ammunition. The typical goal of FPS games is shooting opponents in order to proceed through the missions. The player’s character must avoid being killed in the process. FPS is a genre of video games where players have somewhat limited spatial control of their characters, and the focus is almost entirely on their enemies defeat. In Single-player mode, only one player is expected to participate in every gaming session. The term “Single-player video game” usually refers to a game that can only be played by one person. The “Single-player mode” usually refers to a particular game mode that is designed for one player, though the game also contains other modes (that can be played by several players simultaneously). The majority of modern video games are designed so that they can be played in Single-player. Because of this fact, most multiplayer games try not to focus on a linear narrative. By contrast, many Single-player games are built around a compelling story and interactions with the in-game world.
