Uplay network allows players to connect with each other and gain various rewards based on in-game achievement system. Uplay is a digital distribution platform created by Ubisoft Entertainment Sweden AB. It offers digital rights management (DRM), many multiplayer options and communications service. It provides an experience similar to the achievements systems offered by other game companies. The service works across multiple platforms (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Wii U, iOS, Windows Phone, Android, Facebook, and more). Uplay is used exclusively by Ubisoft games, and although some third-party titles are sold through the Uplay store, they do not use the platform and don’t share its extensive benefits.
Real-time tactics (also known as RTT) is a subgenre of tactical war video games played in real-time. These games are simulating the circumstances of operational warfare and various military tactics. RTT is differentiated from real-time strategy gameplay by the lack of resource management and base or unit building. Instead, it focuses on the importance of individual units and battlefield tactics. Unlike the typical RPG video games, RTT titles don’t have resource-gathering, production, or economic management elements in them. Instead, they focus on tactical and operational aspects of war such as the use of terrain for tactical advantage or unit formations.
