Origin is a digital distribution platform developed by Electronic Arts. It offers mainly online gaming service and digital rights management (DRM). Origin allows its users to purchase games via the internet for PC and mobile platforms and then download them with the Origin client. It also features many social options, like profile management, networking with friends on chat, and direct game joining (along with the in-game overlay). Another cool option is streaming via TwitchTV, sharing of game library and community integration with networking sites (Facebook, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, etc.). Electronic Arts wants Origin to match its leading competitor, Steam by adding many new features, rewards, and cross-platform releases. Origin also allows its users to browse and purchase games for full price from Electronic Arts' catalogs. Instead of receiving a box, disc, or even an activation code, the purchased software is immediately (and permanently) attached to the user's account and can be downloaded with the corresponding Origin client. EA Downloader was launched in late 2005. After many changes, it was reopened under the Origin name on June 3, 2011. Currently, Origin has over 50 million registered users.

Devil May Cry (also known as DMC)is a video game series created by Hideki Kamiya and Capcom. Originally created as a Resident Evil’s sequel, it was so different in style and mechanics that it was developed into a completely new game. The series focuses on the main character Dante and his goal of avenging his mother's murder. The gameplay consists of multiple combat scenes in which players have to extend long chains of attacks and avoid taking damage. The series is very loosely based on the Divine Comedy poem by the use of numerous allusions (including the game's protagonist, named after Dante Alighieri). The gameplay of Devil May Cry games focuses primarily on fast-paced combat, puzzle-solving, and exploration (the latter are retained from DMC’s survival horror origins). They are downplayed however as Devil May Cry games focus mostly on action. The Devil May Cry series has been a massive hit, with the first three games selling millions of copies worldwide. This success has led to the creation of novelizations, comic book series, an animated series, and even a line of action figures. Bayonetta is a series of TPP action games created by PlatinumGames. Its first installment was originally released in 2009 (Japan) and 2010 (North America and Europe). Originally it was a PlayStation-only title but in 2014 the game was also released on the Wii U alongside its sequel, Bayonetta 2. Bayonetta’s port for Microsoft Windows was released in April 2017. Bayonetta takes place in Vigrid, a fictional European city. The games’ protagonist (and titular character) is a witch, capable of shapeshifting and proficient in using various weapons. She can also summon demons and use multiple magical attacks. Bayonetta features a great combat system, very is similar to the Devil May Cry series. Both games received very good reviews and were praised for their combat mechanics and soundtrack. The first Bayonetta game sold over 1.5 million units worldwide and was awarded and nominated for several end-of-the-year accolades. Fun fact: An anime adaptation, titled Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, was released in 2013. If you like non-stop action and fluid combat mechanics, Bayonetta games are the perfect pick for you.
