Origin is a digital distribution platform developed by Electronic Arts. It offers mainly online gaming service and digital rights management (DRM). Origin allows its users to purchase games via the internet for PC and mobile platforms and then download them with the Origin client. It also features many social options, like profile management, networking with friends on chat, and direct game joining (along with the in-game overlay). Another cool option is streaming via TwitchTV, sharing of game library and community integration with networking sites (Facebook, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, etc.). Electronic Arts wants Origin to match its leading competitor, Steam by adding many new features, rewards, and cross-platform releases. Origin also allows its users to browse and purchase games for full price from Electronic Arts' catalogs. Instead of receiving a box, disc, or even an activation code, the purchased software is immediately (and permanently) attached to the user's account and can be downloaded with the corresponding Origin client. EA Downloader was launched in late 2005. After many changes, it was reopened under the Origin name on June 3, 2011. Currently, Origin has over 50 million registered users.Beat 'em up games (also known as brawlers) are part of a very old video game genre originating from arcade. Typical beat’em up’s feature hand-to-hand combat between the hero (player’s character) and a hugely disproportionate number of various enemies. Games of this genre typically do take place in urban settings and feature crime-fighting plots, though some games may also employ fantasy or sci-fi themes. Traditional beat 'em ups take place in 2D levels, scrolling from right to left. Beat’em up games are noted for their simplistic design and intuitive gameplay. Another hallmarks of the genre are cooperative mode and multiple player characters. All time beat’em up classics include such gems as Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, and Double Dragon. The most recent beat’em up games are Guacamelee!, Shank (both mixed with platformers), Devil May Cry, and God of War (both mixed with 3D hack and slash). On Games Republic you’ll find only the best beat’em up games! Become a vigilante and start fighting crime on the streets.Planned assassinations, carefully folded clothing, and the trademark barcode tattoo. What game we’re talking about? Well, take a wild guess! Hitman is a stealth video game series developed by the IO Interactive. The story revolves around Agent 47 (usually referred to as “47” or “Mr. 47”), a genetically engineered assassin, whose flawless record places him in high demand. The core objective of every level is to kill an assigned target (and sometimes also additional targets). In most cases, Hitman games allow the player many different options to accomplish their objective. Players can perform precise assassinations or slaughter mindlessly but the game tends to reward a subtle approach. 47 can also wear a variety of disguises (police officers, firemen, waiters, technicians, and so on) to his fool enemies and gain access to many otherwise restricted areas. The focus of Hitman is not hiding in the shadows, but rather blending in amongst enemies. Previously published by Eidos Interactive, and currently published by Square Enix, the Hitman series is available on Microsoft Windows as well as several video game consoles, including the Xbox, PlayStation, and GameCube. The original game series has also expanded into a novelization, Hitman: Enemy Within, followed by two film adaptations (in 2007 and 2015), which are loosely based on the games’ storyline. Hitman is one of the most iconic video game franchises of all time. Omitting this title is unforgivable so grab your own copy right now!Hide
