Far Cry is a renown franchise of FPS video games. The first game, titled Far Cry, was developed by Crytek and published by Ubisoft in early 2004. The game revolutionized the approach to modern FPS games and received many positive reviews (as well as praise from the gaming community). The original game has been followed by three sequels: Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, and Far Cry 4 and spawned various spin-offs, most notably Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
