Sid Meier’s Civilization (also known as Civ) is a series consisting of several turn-based strategy video games. Sid Meier developed the first game in the series in 1991 (and oversaw most of the sequels) Because of that, his name is included in the formal title of most Civ games. Red Faction is a series of shooter video games created by Volition and currently owned by THQ Nordic. Since the introduction of the first Red Faction game in 2001, the franchise was released on multiple platforms (PC, PlayStation, GameCube, and Xbox). The Red Faction series has been heavy on its thematic undertones throughout the games (one of the more outstanding themes was a revolutionary socialist undertone). Red Faction series has had three distinct styles of gameplay over the years.
