Point-and-click adventure games are a very distinctive genre in which players control their characters through a standard point-and-click interface. Typically, all the player needs is a computer mouse, though additional controls are sometimes supported. In all the best point-and-click games, players have to click on the screen in order to move their characters around, interact with various elements of the world (including NPCs), and examine objects in the game. Point-and-click games often come down to collecting multiple items in the inventory and figuring the right way and time to use them. In order to do that, players have to use clues from the visual elements of the game (e.g. descriptions of certain items, dialogue lines from NPCs, etc.). The most well known point-and-click adventure franchises are Leisure Suit Larry, Gabriel Knight, King’s Quest, Broken Sword, Runaway, Nancy Drew, Sam & Max, Quest for Glory. The franchise began its life as Championship Manager but after the break-up with the original publishers, Eidos Interactive, Sports Interactive lost the naming rights and rebranded the franchise with their new publishers Sega. That’s how Football Manager was born. Football Manager is a very detailed game and offers many hours of fun. Statistics, marketing, and gathering information about clubs and players are all very important parts of every installment. The game is released annually and is based on the corresponding football season. Fun fact: Football Manager has been recognized by many real-life football clubs as a reliable source for scouting players. For example, an English club, Everton FC, signed a deal with Sports Interactive which allows them to use the in-game database to scout players and other clubs. If you like football, Football Manager is definitely a game for you. No other game will give you as many options to work with. Check it out!Hide
