Grand Theft Auto is such a legendary franchise. With over 250 million units sold, the GTA brand is well-known in the gaming world. Gameplay focuses on an open world where the player can choose his/her objectives and complete various missions in order to progress an overall story. Each part of the GTA series focuses on a different protagonist who attempts to rise through the ranks of the city’s criminal underworld. Dishonored is a stealth action-adventure video game franchise, created in 2012 by Arkane Studios and published worldwide by Bethesda. Set in the fictional, industrial city of Dunwall, Dishonored games follow the story of Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin (an optional protagonist in Dishonored 2). Dishonored’s unique steampunk style and well-executed mechanics resulted in franchise’s massive success. Both Dishonored games are played from a first-person perspective and allow players to undertake many assassination and infiltration missions, with a heavy emphasis on player’s choice. Objectives can be completed through stealth, purposeful combat, or a mix of both. Exploring levels opens new paths and alternatives for accomplishing mission goals. Players can complete all missions by killing their targets or eliminating them in a non-lethal manner. The story and missions are changed in response to the players’ violent actions and/or lack thereof. Dishonored games are one of the best, highly praised titles in the last few years. Their beautiful visuals and unique style make them a real jewel among modern FPS games. A must-have for every gamer!
