test missing keyMax Payne is a video game franchise created by Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar Studios. It is named after the game’s protagonist, Max Payne, a detective who became a vigilante after the murder of his entire family. The series' first (2001) and second (2003) installments were written by Sam Lake and Max Payne 3 (2012) by Dan Houser. There was also a movie adaptation, loosely based on the original game, starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. The movie came out in 2008. The Max Payne franchise is notable for its introduction and use of “bullet time” in many of its action sequences. All three games were very positively received by critics and gamers alike. The series has sold over 10 million copies worldwide and is to this day considered by many players as one of the most influential in TPP action games. Max Payne, one of the best TPS games of all time, is available at Games Republic. Get your own copy now and use the legendary bullet time! When people say “FPS”, they usually think about either Doom or Quake. The latter, albeit much younger, was definitely the more “active” on the market which resulted in many installments in the series. It’s one of the most iconic titles in the FPS genre, with millions of loyal fans across the world. Quake is a series of first-person shooters, starting with the game of the same name. In first Quake (released in 1996) players must find their way through various maze-like, dark, medieval environments while battling a variety of monsters using a wide array of weapons. Quake II (1997) and Quake 4 (2005) are equally dark but unlike Quake set in the future where humans are in conflict with a cybernetic race known only as the Strogg. The third installment in the series, Quake III Arena (1999), was a multiplayer-focused FPS and a response to the increasingly popular Unreal Tournament game. Quake games are iconic and even now, after all these years, they can bring a smile on gamer’s face. A title definitely worth trying!Hide
