Total War is a franchise consisting of 10 strategy video games developed by Creative Assembly and published by Electronic Arts. Sid Meier’s Civilization (also known as Civ) is a series consisting of several turn-based strategy video games. Sid Meier developed the first game in the series in 1991 (and oversaw most of the sequels) Because of that, his name is included in the formal title of most Civ games.
