The BioShock games were often praised for their disturbing, morality-based storylines, immersive environments, and unique settings, and are all considered to be some of the greatest video games of all time. Mafia is a series of action-adventure video games developed by the 2K studio. They are set in fictional cities modeled after America’s most prominent urban sites. The games’ historical setting starts from Great Depression-era Lost Heaven (Mafia), and Empire Bay (Mafia II) to 1960s New Bordeaux (Mafia III). All Mafia games offer the players a big open world where they can choose various missions to progress an overall story and engage in numerous side activities. Every single game in the Mafia series focuses on a different protagonist who usually attempts to rise through the ranks of the city’s criminal underworld. Although their actions usually result in them falling out of favor, their motives are different in each installment. Mafia games are renown for being immersive and accurate in their portrayal of American history.
