BioShock is a franchise consisting of three FPS video games, developed and published by 2K Games. The first installment in the series was released in August 2007 for multiple platforms. It was a huge hit and quickly spun into the other media. All games in the series (BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite) are set in various dystopian cities/communities and the games’ protagonist has to fight against all odds to survive. BioShock includes elements of aforementioned FPS, survival horrors, and even role-playing games, giving the player different approaches in engaging enemies and various obstacles. The BioShock games were often praised for their disturbing, morality-based storylines, immersive environments, and unique settings, and are all considered to be some of the greatest video games of all time. Tom Clancy's is a legendary franchise used by Ubisoft for many of their video games. It was originally created to brand video games, based on Tom Clancy’s works but today it’s a very renown franchise on its own. TC’s games are renown for their accurate approach to military tactics and strategy, as well as a decent level of realism. One can say, the Tom Clancy’s franchise has gone from strength to strength in video game form, spawning several established franchises that include FPS games, flight sims, strategy games, stealth games, and even some turn-based battles. There are currently more than 30 games with “Tom Clancy’s” in their title (Rainbow Six series, Splinter Cell series, and Ghost Recon series). If you like squad-based tactics, stealth and gritty, military theme, Tom Clancy’s games are definitely for you. It’s one of the most successful and positively acclaimed video game franchises of all time.
