All Mafia games offer the players a big open world where they can choose various missions to progress an overall story and engage in numerous side activities. Every single game in the Mafia series focuses on a different protagonist who usually attempts to rise through the ranks of the city’s criminal underworld. Although their actions usually result in them falling out of favor, their motives are different in each installment. Mafia games are renown for being immersive and accurate in their portrayal of American history. The franchise consists of three main games, two large expansions, and an official spinoff, Arcania. This spinoff, Arcania is set in the same universe and shares many aspects with the original Gothic series. Gothic games were extremely successful and, in many ways, groundbreaking. You should definitely give them a chance!
